The True Indianapolis Star

Breaking news shook the sports world on Wednesday, March 7, 2012.  Star quarterback, Peyton Manning was indeed released by the Indianapolis Colts.  Many observed and wondered how Luke Rosenberger would take this news.  Yet once again his response has shocked and impressed the onlooking fans.

Though once he considered the Colts his identity, his response to this understandibly upsetting news was driven by his true identity in Christ.  It seems that Rosenberger, though upset and grieving the loss of this great quarterback, has his sights set on greater things in life, namely his relationship with God, his family, and the youth he ministers to.

Rosenberger reportedly watched the press conference and other videos of Manning in the comfort of his home with his personal cheerleader and wife, Ellen Rosenberger.  The couple was later seen enjoying a movie together at a local mall.

When questioned as to how this news has affected her husband, Mrs. Rosenberger commented "Luke is a man of God who loves sports, yet he has proven that his love of sports does not supercede his love for Christ and His work.  I respect him for his response and how he has shown the power of Christ in his life."

It may seem that the release of Manning is "old news" but the great memories that Rosenberger has of Manning with the Colts will live on.  His cheerleader also told reporters that she is continuing to cheer her husband on as she knows that this not just a quick process.  The world might be on to other news but she knows her husband still thinks about this great loss.

In recent days, Luke Rosenberger has been reportedly warming up to the idea of Andrew Luck as quarterback for the Colts.  It has even been discovered that Rosenberger is no longer upset about the way that Pizza Hut in Managua, Nicaragua continually mispells his first name.  Instead of Luke, they have Luck on record in their delivery system.  "I don't mind it so much now and actually think its kind of cool because we have Andrew Luck on our team!" commented Rosenberger.

According to sources, Mrs. Rosenberger was heard praising her husband not only for his response to this sports story but also for his regular responses to curve balls that life throws him.  Rosenberger boasted, "That's a great strength that my husband has -- to be flexible and to move forward in the wisdom that God provides him.  This is one of the things that makes him a great youth leader!  He is a team player, follows the Holy Spirit's leading, and is great at handling details and situations requiring decision making.  I am so proud of his leadership in our home and out on the field (namely his ministry to students)!  Last weekend he lead a High School Youth Retreat and did an excellent job!  He is the real Indianapolis Star!"
