Dear friends and family,
Thank you for your prayers for our family. We have felt them as we traveled to Nicaragua with four young kids a week ago. They all did great on the flights! And we have all enjoyed a really special time in our former home.
This week in Nicaragua has been wonderful and has brought back so many memories. We're thankful for your support so that we could have this opportunity to revisit special places with our kids and see those who are dear to us.

The
kids got to visit their old preschool and see the homes where we used
to live. We got to see old friends and experience a growing and
ever-changing city of Managua. We also shared a special moment together
where our dog is buried. Bella died on July 2nd...only a few weeks
before our family would have been able to see her.

Today our three oldest flew with Ellen's dad to spend the next 10 days in Guatemala. Four month old Elizabeth is with us here in Nicaragua as we lead a team of young adults from our home church in Colorado, South Fellowship Church. The team arrives Saturday night and we will be serving mostly at Tesoros de Dios (a ministry for kids with disabilities) as well as encouraging missionaries through leading the international church service and providing a date night.

Would you please pray for our team this coming week as we learn and serve together? Many have never been overseas before and we desire to have an attitude of humility and learning as a group. Please also pray for the physical and spiritual health of our group and that we would be a blessing to everyone we interact with. You can check out our Facebook Page for pictures and updates of our week with the team:

PS.
In case you hadn't heard, Ellen released her second book on July 2nd.
Currently it is available as a Kindle book on Amazon:

is about our transition from life in Nicaragua to a new one in the
States. We'd really appreciate you sharing it with anyone in your life
facing a big transition.
Great to "see" those smiles!!
