Kid Quotes
When I was preschool teacher I tried to make a habit of writing down some of the humorous, painfully honest, and profound things my students would say. It seemed like each day I'd come home with several quotes or stories to tell Luke about that would give us a laugh. If I didn't write them down it was hard to remember them past a day or two.
So I've started a similar habit of recording some of the things our kids have said. I'm not super consistent at this but when I do make the time to jot it down or type it in my phone I'm thankful I can look back on the quotes later and smile. I love how each of their personalities and curiosities and just the absolute wonder of childhood comes out through their mouths sometimes!

David to Emily: "Emily, you wear your sunglasses because it's hot."
Emily: "Jesus" (when asked who gave her the pink play purse)
David: "I'm going to tell everybody not to throw trash on the ground."
Emily: "Grandma went bye bye on the airplane."
David: "Where does Jesus live? Does he need to sleep?"
Emily: "Emily pretty. Mommy pretty. Lucy pretty."
David: "Mommy, Satan tells us that Jesus doesn't love us and that's a lie."
And then there's Lucy... her accomplishments lately are: pulling up on things, clapping, and sporting a third tooth.
